On a Tuesday morning as part of my weekly teaching commitment, I take Primary 5. This morning we were doing some problem solving in Maths using calendars. This is part of real Maths where the children are learning skills for life. They had to add dates and times to a calendar from notes. The children did really well and were then able to create calendar problems of their own to challenge each other.
In the afternoon I took Primary 4 to the ICT room. They learned how to log on to the new computers using a new class username and password. They used a programme called Clicker Paint to create a poster using words and images. They also tried out some drawing and painting Apps on their class iPads including Doodle Buddy and Graffiti Art. The children created some lovely pictures. See an example of some graffiti art in the picture below.
The Graffiti Art looks like lots of fun! Maybe we should try it in P1?!
